11/10/05 WOD

Form clinic on push-ups (working negatives), squats, and swiss ball dips.

Tabata circuit (20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, 8x):
Push-ups
Squats
Swiss ball dips
Sit-ups

This turned out to be an exercise in near-futility.

I wanted to see what I was made of so I substituted ring dips for regular dips.

Low score for each exercise as follows:

Push-ups: 6
Squats: 14
Ring dips: 1
Sit-ups: 5

Well, I said to myself, if Mike can do it with rings, I'm doing it with rings.

And, I'm proud to say that I got 2 reps at my worst (although the buzzer sounded just as I locked out, I'm saying tie goes to the guy about to vomit).

Push ups - 10
Squats - 17
Ring Dips - 2
Sit ups - 13

Good job, Rob. Looks like you're the winner today. Isn't amazing how humbling ring dips are? They're so humbling that you actually start hoping for 2 whole reps during the 20-second work cycle because that feels like a real accomplishment.
