Full Extension at the Top

In the picture above, Charles is doing a beautiful job of fully extending the shoulders in the lockout position of a push press.

This position is the correct finishing position for the shoulder press, push press, and push jerk.

It's critical to athletic development, to attaining true shoulder flexibility, and to being able to press and hold large loads overhead. It's also the position one needs to get into in order to hold a proper handstand.

Nice work, Charles!

Is it a 5K run tomorrow?

We'll probably do a 5K row instead. Nothing for sure yet, though...

I'd be up for going around the lake. If I can contact everyone in time, we can meet up at the bandstand at Lake Merritt.

due to mototcycle being run over by yuppie I will not be crossing the bridge today.

Bummer, Chad. Damn yuppies!

Nicole ended up running, Max ended up rowing, and I'll be rowing tomorrow, just as an FYI.

Everyone else opted for the row, too.

Son of a bitch! I hope you are OK, I've been run over myself, I feel your pain!!

5K Row times:

The Assassin: 19:47

Maximus: 19:56

Yeah, bike was parked. I watched it happen from the ATM.

What sucks is that I was up and out the door for the 8am class.

Ended up running 6 miles in what felt like an hour.
