Holiday Get-Together on December 15

holiday_treat.jpg

Mark your calendars now!

Yes, that's right, we're throwing out Zone-like eating for one day during the holiday season.

We're planning on having a CrossFit Oakland holiday cheat meal on Friday, December 15.

We're leaving the choice of locale to you, though, true to our open-source, community-driven philosophy.

Please vote for your choice of restaurant in the Comments section.

Cesar, anyone?

there's a killer thai place on college called Soi 4. it's really reasonable and sooooooooooooooo good.

also, there's dopo on piedmont for excellent italian food, but there will definitely be a wait for a table;
La Note on shattuck for good french food,
Dona Thomas on Telegraph for expensive but good mexican,
Jupiter Beer on Shattuck for awesome beer, pretty good food and probably good live music,

uuuuuuuuummmmm...

Also, Piazolo next to Dona Thomas. I like the idea of Soi 4 and I think we can make reservations...

Le Cheval.

Awesome Vietnamese. Cheap and able to accomodate big groups. Full bar.

It's a taste sensation.

P.S. When is Max's Birthday?

Max's Birthday is on the 11th of this month

Oh man, Soi 4 is so good! I second that. Large groups could be a problem. I like Cesar's too. Lansplitters is another good option to go off the zone wagon completely!

My birthday will be celebrated on the the 17th, although in point of fact I will be 40 (gasp) on Saturday.

There will be get-together of some kind on the 17th, details to follow. We will also do a "filthy 40" workout in the AM, don't miss it! Something like: 40 burpees, 40 box jumps, 40 double-unders, 40 push-ups, 40 200 m runs, a 40 oz... etc.
