That is my favorite post... I like the Candace and Mike jump-roping as well.

Nicole, have you heard that me say that I'm too polite to parkour (I'm not suggesting that anyone who does it is impolite), but I have a hard time breaking rules and doing some of the moves in public/on public property. What has your reception been by people around you? Should I just not worry about it and have fun?

Ann,
I personally enjoy being chased by the police;)
In all seriousness, my skill level is that of a neophyte, and so I draw very little attention to myself. If someone does comment it is generally because watching a grown woman run around like a 10 year old sparks the same desire in them, and they want to play too! A long winded way of saying, don't worry about it, F*** what other people think, and have some fun!

When I much younger and much dumber (1987 if memory serves) I went to the Grand Canyon with Frank Marcucci and we jumped from the South Rim to an outcropping about 6-8 feet away with an 800 foot (certain death) drop below. Upon arrival we realized we would have to jump back and UP about 18 inches to get back. Yes we both made it, not really that much of a jump but heart-stopping nonetheless.
Now you would think I would learn from such a thing, but you would be wrong...
In about 1989 in New York City, Christian Witkin and I were on the roof of his 8 floor apt building downtown. He "dared" me to jump to the next roof (only about 5 feet away), which I did. Upon landing my right leg promptly went right through the tar-paper roof all the way to my crotch! I could see right into the empty (unoccupied) space below. When it was time to jump back, again I found that I had not perceived that it was quite a jump UP to get back.
Obviously I made it. They make it look so easy in the movies...

Whoa, Max, you're a lucky guy!
Max, I just saw that tomorrow's workout - a 5k. I was actually hoping for that. How/where are we going to run this for the 6am class, or should I just try and do this from home? Thanks!
How is the strength building class going?

Ann:
I have a little urban 5 k mapped out, and since you are going to finish it in about 21-23 minutes you will need something else to do!
