EV First Rope Climb @ Crossfit Oakland

CrossFit Oakland Athlete Ev R. gets her first rope climb!

This is one of our benchmarks from our CFO Skill Assessment Guidelines. The rope climb is a Level ll (intermediate) benchmark, and is Ev's first intermediate target hit. She is now a solid well-rounded beginner and ready to go onto bigger, faster, stronger things!

We have posted the skill guidelines on the main page for easy reference (look to the left of this post).

Post comments on skill guidelines.

Three cheers for Evelyn! You are certainly becoming an ass kicking machine. I think your time yesterday was unparalleled.

Now, I have to know. Did anyone else cry a little bit when they read the WOD?

EV great work, I am sure you will hit all your bench marks with style.

Jonathan, you should try that hill with 10 135# thrusters x 5 now that would be bad news!

Candace, ya I am not sure which will hurt more 50 135# thrusters or the 2000m of running! Ok the 2000m again may kill me (-;

I'll be doing (or attempting) today's WOD as rx'd tomorrow @ 9AM if any big boys want to join me. Estimated time to finish: 40 minutes.

Posted by: Max Lewin at January 2, 2007 11:35 AM

I'd like to do today's WOD tomorrow at 6AM if it's possible. What's planned for tomorrow's workout?

Posted by: Ann Kelly at January 2, 2007 12:02 PM

You can do today's WOD @ 6AM tomorrow.

Did the Thruster workout. 54:00 with 135lbs to Dynamax ball.

Posted by: Max Lewin at January 3, 2007 11:13 AM

And then Max proceeded to lift 2007 lbs from floor to overhead in under 1:21 (that's one minute and twenty-one seconds)!

See www.crossfitsantacruz.com for more info on this challenge.

See how you do and let us know the strategy you choose.

Max nice work on the 2007 challenge I'll have to give that a go soon.

Max nice work on 400m 10 135# Thruster WOD sounds like 54:00 of pain!

Posted by: Franklin O at January 3, 2007 9:19 PM

Max, it looks like 15 power snatches of 135# is my plan est time ~50sec
