From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oscar Pistorius (born November 22, 1986 in Pretoria, Gauteng Province) is a South African Paralympic athlete. Known as "The Fastest Thing On No Legs", Pistorius is the double amputee world record holder in the 100, 200 and 400 metres events. He runs with the aid of carbon fibre transtibial artificial limbs.

Some random dude sustained a mysterious injury to the medial collateral ligament (on the inside of the knee). It looks like he will have to come up with some "crossfitty" routines which can be done on/with crutches for a while.

Post ideas for one-legged workouts, like those that Casey and Random Dude Jr. need to do, and other thoughts on training while injured.

max, that sucks dude. lots of pullups, then more pullups.. when you get tired you can cheat and do 'climber pullups' like me.
are you on crutches full time?? i really, really feel your pain.

Max,

bummer about your MCL. I wonder how you hurt it?

Here's a one legged workout I just made up in honor of Maximus:

"Sex Pistols"

21-15-9
Pistols
ring pullups
knees to elbows (rings or bar)

Pistols should be done all on your good leg if you only have one, or 11R/10L 8L/7R 5R/4L if you have two good legs. (i.e. do not switch legs each rep)

Workout should be performed to soundtrack of "Never Mind the Bollocks..." Post number of songs completed to comments.

I will be of no help here. I keep re-injuring my neck. So, don't do what I do. Go easy, even if you really want to go heavy. I'm taking a month or so off now.
