Thrusting Away

Elb, Molly, and Darnell at various stages of the dumbbell thruster (front squat + push press)
We're rather fond of thrusters here at CFO, whether they're done with a dumbbell or a barbell. Their long line of action packs a nasty metabolic punch and the motor recruitment pattern required to execute a thruster involves multiple joints and muscle groups, making this a highly functional move.
Post to Comments your single most favorite exercise movement, whether it's weighted or unweighted, and explain your reason for including it as your favorite.
*** July 4 Schedule ***
Just a quick note: We'll be running our weekend schedule on July 4; 9am & 10am classes only.

Deadlift- it just feels right. You know when your form is good right away by how your back feels (or actually how it doesn't feel much at all). I think it is easy for me 'cause I'm short too.

I agree with Deadlift. It is the most power generating exercise.
