The Mini

Mini-burgers are one of my favorite meals, it took me a long time to break my North American tendency toward more mass = more value. I have found when it comes down to cooking and eating and Mini-burgers we are in complete harmony (great taste, sort of zone).
Post your thoughts on the Mini-burger and the zone to comments

A mini burger with uncooked slices of jalapeno? Only at the Okumu residence, and most likely for breakfast, righ Franklin?
Phil made zoned burgers sans bread last night and mixed in pesto and fresh parmesan cheese before cooking. They were delightfully satisfying and zonerific. Our "bread" was baked/roasted root vegetables. Yum.

I think it is an unusual customer who gets just one or two of these.
Since I have been doing strict zone for about 5 weeks now, I have noticed the obscene portion sizes that I used to sort of, not take for granted, but no really be aware of the incredible amount of calories. I was at a Thai restaurant yesterday, and I swear I saw someone with a plate of noodles in peanut sauce that HAD to have been at least 12 blocks of carbs (maybe 16??)30 blocks of fat and 1150 calories. That was just a side dish! Yikes!
Here is a great block chart:

I, too, am just getting a jump on the CFO bandwagon in spirit out here in sunny Seattle. I started doing the semi-Paleo/Zone and I'm copying Max by keeping myself honest with a blog. I've been recommended 13 blocks plus 3 days on, 1 day off of CF. I'm on Day 2.

Here you can also see photos of me with blue hair. No joke.
Also, check out the CF Northwest page, I made it onto their blog this week. My feet look huge!
