Get Strong!

Rip.jpg

We had the honor and privilege of attending a Barbell Seminar with Mark Rippetoe and Lon Kilgore at CrossFit HQ over the weekend and have emerged as better trainers and athletes as a result. We have a new bag of tricks to share with all of you, and some very practical programming to help everyone get stronger!

A must read for strength athletes:
"Starting Strength(2nd Edition):Basic Barbell Training"

Why strength? Post your musings and philosophies to comments.

Nicole: honey, did you get Riptoe to work on your extension? And I'm not talking about the one on your head!! I know. It's all so confusing. Please say hi to Jim for me. I will be able to check out the fruits of your labor on Sunday and you can show me how it's done,... or not. I have shopping to do so I must go.

Angela, has anyone ever told you how sweet and cuddly you are?

I did pretty good on yesterday's workout (14:28), but if I was significantly stronger, to the point where I could knock out the thrusters in 13/12 instead of 5/5/5/5/5 I think it could be knocked down to say 11:30. Gregg A. could clearly do this all unbroken, mostly because he is insanely strong, not because of metcon, though that is world class too. I guess his time would be under 7 minutes, largely because of his strength.

Nicole; Let's review. If you will recall, you woke the sleeping bear. Honey, just work on that extension and I'll start looking cuter and cuddlier.
