BFD post Level 1 Cert at the OFD Training Tower

The Berkeley Fire Department now has 12 newly-minted trainers and will be working in conjunction with CFO to develop a city-wide Health and Wellness Program for members of the seven stations. We are excited to be working with the City of Berkeley, and would like to thank David Sprague, BFD Firefighter and President of the Berkeley Fire Fighters Association for spearheading the collaboration with CFO!

My first CFT...I think I aimed too high on the shoulder press and deadlift (went for 2x body weight - 365). Lot of fun, though:

BS/SP/DL: 275/125/315 = 715

Maybe I'll set a 3-month goal of breaking 800?

BS/SP/DL: 140/70/167 = 377
Not feeling totally on top of my game but made modest PRs in all categories anyway.
Last time (in July) Mike said my goal should be 1000- a cruel joke my friend. Looking to hit 500 in a year. Is this crazy?
I've been Cross-Fitting since March. 37 almost 38 yrs old, 5'0" and 112 lbs.

I am going to replace the weights on the bar with helium filled shells that resemble real weights. This way it will look like I can lift more than Steven and Daniel. Afterwards, I will reward myself with two to three gallons of paleo vanilla ice cream.

This one is always fun.

365/155/440 = 960

PR's in squats and deadlifts!

1000 next time...unfortunately, it will probably be in London :(

I am proud to say I was there to see Jason hit those PR's and it was very impressive. Tina was no slouch either - what was that deadlift again?

190/85/165 = 440

First CFT - very fun and not disappointing since I had nothing to which to compare... Surprised I could backsquat more than I could deadlift. hmmmm
