Kipping Pull-Up Clinic
An explanation--and video demonstration--of the kipping pull-up from the good folks at CFHQ
We're rolling out the first of a series of clinics devoted to skill development. The first one we're going to have will be Thursday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m. It will be an hour (or so) devoted to the kipping pull-up. The cost for attending this skill clinic is $20.
This will be an opportunity to work the pull-up from just about every conceivable angle (literally and figuratively) and we'll have multiple trainers on hand to work with you.
Whether you're trying to get your first kipping pull-up or looking to develop an already-existing kipping pull-up, you'll wanna check this clinic out.
Post to comments other skill clinics you'd like to see offered down the road.

rowing technique.. wasn't there one of these awhile back? i missed it.
gymnastics, yeah. i'd be so psyched to be able to do a back handspring without face planting.

Who will be conducting the 8 p.m. seminar?

I was talking to Lau a while back about proper tumbling technique when leaving a mtn bike in a hurry. Specifically how I didn't have a clue. :-)
He mentioned he might go over tumbling sometime with me (presumably sans bike to start with.:-) This would make a great clinic!

I think someone is gonna need to take me to a clinic if I actually attempt Joshie tonight.
I think that gymnastics, like martial arts, will not be learned in an evening. Perhaps working on one skill, such as proper handstand form and showing some progression exercises to develop a free-standing handstand would be more beneficial.
I remember when my karate club at PSU would put on self-defense seminars. It is unrealistic to expect that someone who is untrained will be able to defend themselves much better than they could have before the seminar. Thus, I recommend picking something small.

I vote for handstand form.

Tom,
Words of wisdom, my friend. Words of wisdom.
And thus the clinic devoted to just a single skill.

I vote for a POSE running clinic.
If there's interest, I'd be happy to teach a class in how to take falls without hurting yourself.

I second Wyatt's oly lifting (this could be many clinics) Casey's rowing idea!
