No Flexibility Class Tomorrow! July Schedule Change

There will be no stretching class tomorrow, but will resume in July on Monday nights at 6 p.m.!
"Flexibility is not something that automatically comes with strength training. On the contrary, strength training without stretching can lead to dramatic reduction in flexibility. In many cases, when taken to the extreme, such a lack of flexibility will result in loss of "normal" function, not to mention loss of high-performance function so important to athletes."-Roger Harrell

went to a physical therapist this morning about my tendonitis in my elbow. turns out it's due to tightness/inflexibility in my tricep and bicep. time to stretch.

Will it help my golf game?

Tamara - your swing has a enough flexibility. My guess is you can see the clubhead out of your left eye.

You are right Brad. And stretching won't help the fact that I cry like a baby and throw my clubs all over the course.

However Tamara, stretching could help you increase the distance you throw your clubs while decreasing the chance of injury while throwing these long, unevenly weighted implements.

I'll tell you who doesn't have any flexibility issues -- Mr. Saturday Night!! WOW, what a show last night!! Thanks for the great party, Vee!
Oh, and Vee, if you find my pillow, let me know. I think I left it there after the pillow fight.

I'll be there at 11, looking forward to it.
So Nicole, from what you wrote, it seems that my back pain is a result of me getting stronger? Getting stronger at a faster rate of getting more flexible? (nice grammer)
Does that make sense?

Mike (and anyone else interested):
Daniel and I are going to do (re-do for me) Fran on Tuesday at 6.

Stretching class was super cool. Body likes it.
Dawn was great.
Thanks.

I wanted to give Dawn's flexibility class some positive advertisement. I feel CRAZY good right now, which is saying something after doing my first "Fran" as RXed. Learned some good stretches and exercises. I will definitely be back for more.

Just wanted to add some more thanks to Dawn. The flexibility class was indeed great. In fact, I just passed Wyatt on his way out of the back store with a shiny new foam roller thinger. Those things rock... literally and metaphorically...
Also, congrats to Tamara for the most awesome WOD I've seen. ever.

I was teaching a private when I saw the 11:00 flexibility class came down stairs. Everybody was smiling, relaxed and walking like Rastas down by da beach. I am in for next week.
Tami never stops proving her savagery. She performed 'Firefighter Fran' today. Just in case you think Fran is too easy Tami donned full turnouts, SCBA, and was on air throughout the duration of the wod. Thats about an extra 80# of gear she was wearing.
And big ups to Nabil who did it with a gas mask today.
