GREAT event, guys. Whew! squat, squat, run, squat, squat run. Thanks Mike, Nicole, Dawn, Connie, Franklin, and all the other folks who made it happen. Some great CFO representation from Nabil, Patrick, Tami, Audge, Sierra, Journey, Lance, Connor, Brandon, and a whole bunch of others. Proud to be from CFO.
Thanks again Crossfit Oakland for holding this event!! It was alot of fun and I look forward to seeing everyone at the next affiliate challenge! My last name is spelled Khalipa just to let you guys know but Califa looks good too thanks again guys!
Great event Nicole and Mike. Your box was rocking! I was humbled getting to train alongside some extremely gifted athletes. I look forward to more Bay Area events and making lots more new friends!
Hey Mike and Nicole, the Throwdown was seriously cool. The gym was packed with people and I screamed myself hoarse cheering people on. We have some seriously talented people training at CFO. Thanks again to Mike and Nicole and to all the folks who traveled from around the Bay to visit us.
A shout out to all of the affliates who came this morning! Thank you.
I'm looking forward to the trek to your gym next.
I feel like I'm constantly giving Lance verbal BJ's but I'm just really impressed with that guy! I'm sure there are lots of people at CFO that have been making huge strides, its just that I remember meeting Lance at a 6am class in the begining of March and to see the progress he's made in just the last 12 weeks is awesome!! Lance and Sierra have both been putting in some seriously hard work it continues to pay off! Their hard work and determination is the kind of shit that really gets me fired up more than anything else!
Man, my legs are still jelly. That was a blast, though. Thanks Mike, Nicole, Dawn, Connie, and all the affiliates. My goal next time is to finish before the cutoff. Or beat Lance.
Thanks Mike, Nicole, and CFO staff for hosting a wonderful event. It was great to meet all the athletes from different affiliates. Your box has a real family feel to it.
That was amazing. I had so much fun and I didn't even expect to participate in the WOD. Thank you to all the trainers and my fellow female counterparts who cheered me on!
Tamara- you are friggin' amazing!
Nice to meet everyone. Hope to see you all at the CF Games. =]

Nabil - thanks for constantly being so supportive of Lance & me. I'll never forget way back when, when Lance came home and told me that you gave him some advice on sticking with it and giving it his all - that has totally stuck with him and helps drive him.
As for me, I'm just trying to keep up with Audra, the lean, mean, front-squatting machine. Crazy strong woman. Lance has Edgar as his 6 am gold standard, and I have you!
Sakura - you worked so freaking hard today and it was so fun cheering you on! We'll be looking for you at the CF games.
I just have to say, I think the women of Crossfit are incredibly amazing and inspiring, and I feel very fortunate to be in your company.
man, that shit was FUN! I had a blast. I think the most amazing thing was how supportive everyone was. Having a ton of people cheer you on as you do muscle ups is quiet a thing. And there were so many amazing performances. Let's do more affiliate throwdowns. Oh, that workout was BRUTAL. My legs still hurt. Fish oil and ice baths are in my future. Thanks Mike and Nicole and everyone who helped.
I have rhabdo.
I am extremely proud of everyone @ CFO that was able to show up and participate. Brandon that charge in the end was inspiring!!! Sorry I couldn't stay and watch the rest of the groups :(
Thanks to the other affiliates, there was lot's of talent and 1st class attitudes, not to mention a few CF celebs!!
Great event guys. Thanks for hosting. Looking forward to the next one! Brutal wod, btw.

Looks like Crossfit Unlimited is having their own affiliate throwdown on June 22:

Can we get a CFO crew together to go take back the crown? :)
Besides having a lot of trouble walking from my car to my front door and down a flight of stairs to my room, today was awesome. Jonathon did his first WOD as rx'd with muscle-ups, craig from DCF got his first muscle-up, brandon B. killed his muscle-ups in the WOD and showed big heart and improvement in that exercise and the WOD in general finishing exactly on the 20 minute mark with no seconds to spare, Tami killed it - as expected and was the only woman to do it Rx'd, sierra was rad for having no hesitation on participating and getting lance and journey to do it as well, that guy jason was a beast and inspiration to see such a big strong guy run that fast, and Nabil - nothing even needs to be said about that guys workout today!! and the list goes on and on.... today was a good day and Im real proud of everyone's performances and also our character and charisma. Basically, as Connor and I discussed over a tasty cope and sierra...we've got a pretty good group at CFO and Im glad to be a part of it. Thanks everyone for a fun day.
Thanks everyone I really had a great time.
I was really impressed by all athletes.
I hope to be able to learn and compete again.
Keep up the great work.
sweet Jesus, I need help.
If you are reading this, please come to my house right now and massage my thighs. I'm not kidding!
Minimum - the hopper idea was yours? Please get here now.
Mike, Nicole, Dawn and Connie....you guys rock!!!
Thanks for putting on a wonderful event!! I am so sore today, but it is so worth it to see all the great athlete's there yesterday! You all are an inspiration to me!
Thanks to the wonderful unnamed woman who ran with me during my second and third runs...lady, you rock!!! I saw you killing it out there on the round before me!!! Don't stop doing what you do!!

MIke,
Excellent job putting together the event. I love that Crossfit is evolving into this team/affiliate challenge concept. It was so much fun pushing everyone and cheering them on. Everyone that did the WOD, killed it. The energy throughout the throwdown was incredible. Everyone that I met from the other affiliates were all really cool as well.
Favorite Throwdown Moment: Watching Mike trying to stop Connor from killing two guys who were grab-assing in his workout area during his heat.
Least Favorite Throwdown Moment: It's a tie between Mike making me do a 4th muscle-up in the last round (admittedly, I can always use the extra muscle-up practice) and the way that I felt during the last 400m.
Great event. Can't wait for the next Bay Area event. Lots of love form Diablo.
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who cheered on with such enthusiasm... it's such a huge boost. I know for a fact there were many more, but b/c it was SO LOUD the only people I could hear were those that were up in my face; Steven, Brandon, Connor and then there's Mike... holly shit when that guy yells at me its pretty scary, but it gets me so fired up and makes me want to do WORK!!
Daniel -
How was the play?
probably something like this.
watching mike make brandon do his 3rd muscle-up right and brandon doing it was probably one of my favorite moments (besides witnessing tamara be amazing and lance ripping his shirt off...) every CFO athlete i saw squatted down below parrallel, turned their arms out at the bottom, brought their chin over the bar and lcoked their arms out at the top. mike's insistance on virtuosity says alot about him, the community that he and nicole have created and the people that are a part of it. all of the participants were great examples of heart and work. i was glad i was there...
Thanks CFO for a great event! I'm so excited that so many people showed up. Hope to see all of you bad asses at the Crossfit Games.
The throwdown was awesome. Nabil, Patrick, Tamara, Brandon... everyone! Your performances were inspiring. I almost wished I had foregone the 9am workout to share in the suffering... almost. Plus, it was great to have a chance to meet other cool CFO people I don't normally see such as Lance and Sierra. Thanks Mike, Nicole, Dawn, Connie and everyone who helped make this event so great.
Just wanted to thank everyone at CFO for inviting us into your house....We really are lucky to have so many affiliates so close. I hated that wod, but I loved the experience.
Sierra...it was great to meet you and appreciated your enthusiasm.
Brianne...you rock chica.
I do have one suggestion though....you guys should consider moving the clamps on your rings a little higher...my arms look they took a few rounds. (in other words...they look how my quads feel)
Thanks again guys....when are you coming to One World?
Wow. That was great. I feel like Rip Van Winkle.
I already knew Brandon and Connor were studs, and Nabil (aka Tony Stark) and Patrick's times speak for themselves.
But the most inspiring part was seeing the progress people I know have made in six months. Joe cranking out pull ups, Connie stringing together full-depth dips, Tamara doing amazingly fluid muscle ups. Tom able to hear me say "ice cream" as he headed out the door for another agonizing 400m.
Hands down best moment: Mike finishing just under the rx'd time wearing black Swedish walking shoes and white socks. Priceless.
Mike, Nicole and CFO Staff-
Thanks for holding the throwdown!! My first throwdown experience and although I was VERY intimidated at first, I came out there with much inspiration! It was awesome to see such great atheletes and have the opportunity to actually do a wod right next them! I've only been crossfittin since February and have much to learn but I'm lovin it! Not sure who it was that was telling me to drive with my elbows on the front squats, but want to thank you! I saw a tremendous difference with that coaching! Hope to see you all again at unlimited's challenge in June!!!
