Best Wishes, Jonathan!

Jonathan, longtime CFO faithful athlete and trainer
Jonathan coached his last class at CFO this evening.
He's off to Los Angeles to pursue his passion (along with CF, of course): the guitar. Jonathan is off to study guitar for the next 12 to 18 months. He leaves tomorrow for LA.
For those of you who don't know him, Jonathan's CFO roots go back to our first facility on 3300 Broadway, back when we were in the back room of a karate studio doing CF shoeless. His first workout was FGB, and then his second workout was FGB (we weren't very original back then). And he's been with us ever since.
We will miss him dearly.
Post best wishes to Jonathan as he heads off to get educated on the guitar!

Good luck Jonathan! Hopefully your new guitar skills will land you a better gig than Telegraph ave playing for free bong hits.

Because we finally have a proper post about Jonathan and because we began a debate on music last night, I feel the need to drag it forward into today.
Jonathan stated:
> Helmet is definitely not a metal band
He then went on to recommend the following albums:
> Anything by Black Sabbath, the very 1st metal band.
> Judas Priest-Painkiller
If Meantime is not metal, then someone needs to explain to me why it is significantly heavier, angrier, more aggressive, and more apt to hurt people's feelings than anything Black Sabbath or Priest could have ever hoped to produce. I will give you that Helmet does not have big hair, overlong guitar solos, lyrics about elves, falsetto vocals, motorcycles and dragons on the cover, nor are three-quarters of the songs on Meantime filler. So, in that sense, they defy many of the stylistic conventions associated with the genre.

Break a leg, Jonathan! Definitely keep us posted.

All the best Jonathan!
Thanks for all your great coaching on the nuances of CF workouts. Hope you can pay us a visit from time to time and even after you've rocked the music world and the paparazzi are tailing you.

Jonathan,
Good Luck bro. I expect to see hot women in bikinis doing KB swings in your first music video. Also, I want you to open up a crossfit directly across from Petranek Fitness just to piss him off. If all goes as planned, this is what we can look forward to...

Jonathan - we will miss you, you were always so nice to be around at CFO. Lance and I recently fell in love with LA, hopefully we can meet up sometime when we're there. Best of luck with everything and I'll try to work up to that 1.5 pood kettlebell in your honor.
