30 Day Double-Under Challenge!

By Nicole - Posted on 06 November 2008

We are going to begin our Double-Under Challenge on Monday, November 10th. We will do one double-under on day one and add one each day until we get to 30 consecutive double-unders on the 30th day!

Here are the Challenge Rules:

1. All of your double-unders should be completed consecutively.

2. If you miss a day, you have to make up all the missed double unders the following day.

3. If you don't start the challenge with us on Monday, you can "buy-in" at any time by doing ALL the missed day's double unders on your first day.

4. Any double-unders you complete during your regular workout or warm-up will not count towards the day's Challenge.

Prizes go to the CFO athletes who complete 30 consecutive double-unders on the 30th day!

Who's in? Post to comments.

I'm in until my knees give out...probably around day four.

Brandon,
I will pay money if you can do that Buddy Lee routine on the 30th day!

I always wanted to learn the truth about jump rope... I can't jump rope like Mr. Lee, but I can make noises like he does. I think that's a good start. What happened to Buddy Lee, anyway? He was briefly featured on the main site and has not been heard from since within the CrossFit world. I also think that his lovely assistant needs to spend more time with me.

I like the idea of a 30 day double under challenge. It is achievable without the grinding repetition and high potential for injury of the 100 day burpee challenge. I think I need a jump rope if I am going to do the challenge, however.

Will practicing double unders help me deadlift as much as this dude?

I'm in.

I'm in for the Fundamental Challenge: 30 days to complete 1 CrossFit legit double-under.

I'm in!

Does anyone know a good attorney who could help us file a 501 c 3?
call me 846-3251

I'm screwed on day three, but that's no excuse now is it?

Count me in. I will try not to throw ropes around in frustration, but I make no guarantees.

To whomever brought the country music mix in -

THANK YOU!

In. God help me...

So is a person out of the challenge when dbl unders are broken?

In!

In. I double challenge Sierra...

I can picture all the cursing thats going to be coming out of CFO for the next 30 days

Me too:)

What exactly do you mean by "consecutively"? If you miss you have to start over from the beginning?

Also, do they count if you add the little jump between each rep? That is the only way I can do them ;)

Yes, Sherrill, that's correct.

im in!

Robyn,

Using the little jumps in between will not count as consecutive.

Think of how much better you'll be at doubles after 30 days!

So if one can't have little jumps in between am I out before I'm even in?

Oh, I see, you get to start over. I am so in!

In. Could do it with my eyes closed-anyone down to give that a try?

Moses is my mustached hero

I like the idea of those who are not challenged by the contest completing triple unders with the same rules applying.

Ooh...triple unders...hmmm...

Another possibility for those who already have decent double-unders is to do a double double-under challenge. Just do 2x whatever everyone else is doing. I've done 30 in a row before, but 60 seems pretty damn daunting.

I like the idea of those who are not challenged by the contest try shutting up for 30 consecutive days. Same rules applying. ;-)

And Lau--I believe it is "mustachioed." A much better word. I try to use it as much as possible.

Nice LB!

Lau I accept your triple challenge :)

Tomorrow is a "Rest Day." Instead of resting, come to Sprint Saturdays at 10 am. You'll get faster, more powerful, and more explosive.

Tamara,

I accept your challenge.

You must not know that there's a new moustache in town. Moses is old news.

and on Sunday we can have strength Sundays... will you be making that one Brandon? Strength will allow you to become faster, more powerful, and more explosive.

> God help me...

He's not listening, Robyn.

Steven,

I'm not sure how well versed you are on the Book of Genesis, but I rest on Sundays.

I am familiar with sega genesis indeed
