This Saturday CrossFit Silicon Valley is hosting another Norcal Team Competition! Registration and movement standards overview starts at 12PM-12:30. First heat starts at 12:30.

They will announce the WORKOUT on their Thursday blog post (http://xbodyfitness.typepad.com/xtra/). The workout will consist of teams of 3 persons, at least 1 male and 1 female.

Scaling: A team as a whole will be considered scaled even if only 1 person scales back on weight.

Here is a rough guideline:

As Rx'd = Men's max shoulder press > 125

As Rx'd = Women's max shoulder press > 85

Scaled = Men's max shoulder press < 115

Scaled = Women's max shoulder press < 80

Let's get a big CFO showing! Post your intent to compete to comments and carpool needs...

Yeah Audra! CFO cover girl.

I'm in and I'm ready to dominate.

Looks like the workout will involve kettlebell swings.

You go, Audge!

I am in and I'm ready to dominate(or not) along with Brandon B

im in, ready to dominate, and taking thursday and friday off...

im planning on joining the festivities!

I'm in and so is Alex. Any of our other CF kids coming?

Manwell and I are in. If it rains we'll be taking the Yukon so we can take some folks that need a ride, but if it's sunny, we're going to take the bike, so hit me up Sat morning if it's raining and you need a ride- or I'll just check the site first thing in the am.

I'm in too! What do you mean there are going be KB swings? How could you possibly know that?

I'm in!

Wow Mike, you are really lucky, it seems Connie thinks you may have psychic abilities as well as being "cute"- as she always points out. I hate to burst the bubble here but this was on the CFSV site a couple days ago...

Norcal Team Competition at SV update:

I will announce the workout tomorrow. Heres a little tidbit for now;
know the kettlebell swing- AMERICAN STYLE!

I will be attending the SV Throwdown because I can't think of anything better to do. MJJ, how about you? Last I heard, you were potentially going to be a no show.

Audra, congratulations on your new found fame.

I'm also looking for a ride down there in the event that anyone has room.

I will compete on one condition: I'll be on the same team as those two fine athletes on the left of the banner above. If that is not possible, I will gladly serve as be their personal photographer, massage therapist, and wardrobe specialist.

i am working :(

Does anyone know if the standards police will be there Saturday?

I may need to work on my bent-knee box jumps and 45 degree burpees.

Seriously - Those are some major breasts. That photo is ridiculous. I guess one benefit of not being built like that is getting full ROM on pushups.

Sierra, you so bad.

Maybe she misunderstood the affiliate name.

Ha! Dozer, you bad too.

For those wanting more, a picture and she has her own web site.

If you are afraid to post something under a your own name, perhaps that is an indication that you should not post it at all.

Well said, Thomas.

Oh, and we're definitely in.

If anyone needs inspiration for tomorrow's WOD, here are the results from this year's CRASH-B's, which were a couple weeks ago: http://www.crash-b.org/results.htm. All races are 2000m. The 5:48.9 time that won the Men's Open means maintaining a 1:27 pace. Damn.

Ouch! Burned by Anonymous. That was painful...you know the kind of pain where you have your mind set on eating the last cookie, and then you discover that you already ate the last cookie and missed out on the opportunity to savor it? That kind of pain!

I'll be there and plan to film this metcon, I think the winning team will have two people over 6' tall!

rowing and KB's? goodness....

I will be a witness.
