More Prather Ranch Beef Please!

We have the lucky chance at another Prather Ranch beef delivery. Once again, Scott, The Organic Beef God, is offering us 40-lb boxes (varying cuts) for $231.60/each to be delivered next Friday, March 13th. If 40 lbs sounds like too much to handle you can always split a box with someone else and arm wrestle for the filet mignon.

For those of you who are new to the most divine grass-fed/grass-finished/certified organic beef in town here's a link to Prather Ranch: http://www.pratherranch.com/

Make checks payable to CrossFit Oakland in the amount of $231.60 and write your name on the sign-up sheet. Please note that there are 15 boxes available!

Post your favorite beef recipe to comments.

I will take one.

i wish i had a fridge big enough for that kinda weight!

Aaron, apparently they are packed so that 40lbs can fit into an average freezer.

I can't take one due to lack of funds and space, but I will comment that the price works out to 5.79/lbs, which is a very decent price, especially for high quality beef.

I dont think I am going to make it into cfo for a while. Could you put me down for a box please?

3. Prather Ranch hot dogs with heinz ketchup

I hereby move that Team Hair Product's name be changed to "Team Donk." At least that moniker would be an accurate reflection of a common characteristic of its members.

All in favor say, "Aye."

All opposed, shut the eff up.

I am in for a box of meat

oh and Happy Birthday Connie...you are truly wonderful and deserve only the best in this new year.

Happy birthday Connie!

If you can't make it live check out the action at the following link

I'm in for a box.

Kick some ass today, CFO! More important, have fun. Wish I could be there.

Happy Birthday, Connie!

I would like to be in for 40lbs of Prather. Thank you for doing it again!

The team names are too good!

Happy birthday, Connie!!!

I'll be a witness today, not competing.

HOWEVER, I'll be at the 4pm class. So, if any of you would like to do the workout at 4pm, I'm in.

Good luck CFO! See you there!

Make Biggie proud!

Happy Birthday Connie!

Journey - Chimichuri, Mmmmmmmm.....

GO TEAM CFO! Will be watching you on the small screen here at home between loads of laundry and baseball practices and school projects, etc...

What cuts do 40 lbs consist of?

Thanks for all the CFO support. Once again, we showed up with a deep crew. Sorry I let you guys down (especially Daniel and Candace). It will not happen again. F**K!

Brandon, if by letting people down, you mean demonstrating immense and unreasonable power output, then you are guilty. Excellent work today, peeps. I feel lucky to be a part of it.

Results?

Brandon, Candace, and Daniel came in third. I think that Austin's team from Unlimited came in first and I don't remember who was second.

CFO's win streak finally came to an end today.

There was one heat left to go when I had to leave, and the results were as follows for Rx'd teams:

1. CF Unlimited 16:08
2. CF San Jose 16:38
3. CFO Team Nike 16:46

Hat's off to Austin and his crew there.

Let's use this as motivation. You guys are in for "Minus 1" Mini from here on out. We gotta step it up heading into the Games.

Perhaps the best nickname I heard today - Quadra. Genius.

Mike,

Can you print out the above times on large butcher paper and post them in the gym? That way, we can stare our failure in the face when we are contemplating whether to do another rep during a WOD.

Son of a B**ch. I am so angry.

to all those who participated today, it was a WOD well done. I am very excited for my future and the future of everyone involved; my excitement is only matched by my extreme level of pride to know that I, day in and day out have an opportunity to train with the best competitors and sportsmans around. TomC showed real class when he stepped in and helped a man down team in the final minutes of their heat. Thank you all for being great teachers and friends.

Mike:

Do you know what the other times were? Where did Team Asia come in?

Ange-
Team Asia came in at 19:38 and for the only 2 girl 1 guy rx'd team, I feel pretty good about that!
Everyone showed a lot of heart and competitive spirit today. We should all be very proud of our team and recognize that we all have room for improvement- mistakes are only failures if you don't learn from them.
I am very proud to have found CFO, especially for my very first Crossfit experience, I feel very lucky. I hope to be torturing you all with my smart ass mouth for many years to come! Great job, Everyone!

Connie - happy birthday! Hope you had a great day.

and Sierra - nice performance of the day!
