Next time you're at CFO and have some time to hang around and check out the scenery, be sure to peruse the lobby where Melissa has just hung some of her photography.  We're lucky to be surrounded by so many talented people!

On her work:

"These are selected photographs from my trip to Cuba in April, 2009. I enjoy sharing stories and photographs from my experiences there, as I was so moved by the people, history, and spirit of the country. The cities and towns are crumbling due to lack of materials, yet they radiate beauty.  The Cuban people have little means, yet they are the most generous people I have ever met. Needless to say, it was a trip that affected me greatly and I hope to return one day soon. - Melissa Agocs

Melissa's photography rocks, except for when it's a picture of me with my tongue out.

Beautiful picture btw!

I have an idea:

Think about how many affiliates there are across the country/world. Now think how awesome it would be if there was an affiliate guest program for crossfitters. Say someone is a member of CFO, if that person was going down to San Diego for a week and wanted to get some WODs in they could go down to CFSD, verify their identity on a computer system and go at it. I am sure that the CF mainsite runs off a server powerfull and large enough to run a program that could keep track of all the affiliate members.

Mike, could you fast track this one? Thanks

I love all of Melissa's pics! Such a talented young lady, if I say say so myself!

They look even more beautiful in real life than on facebook. Nice work Melissa.

the cuban photos are beautiful and the cards are great too.

strong and talented!

cool. nice shot. i haven't seen the rest of the photos yet but will tomorrow when i workout. i'm thinking about a cuba trip with some friends over new years so i'll have to share the photos with them! thanks

Melissa's work is as awesome as her workouts...Beautiful photography...keep 'em comin'

I am reporting you to the authorities.

I would also like to point out that soon, Crossfit will be obsolete.

Fat Brad - If you need someone to go with you to the UK, I've always wanted to go. I would, of course expect you to pay since I will be supporting you, post-op. Let me know.

Study finds humans still evolving, and quickly.

FTA:

...the introduction of new foods were the primary reasons that some genes swept through populations with such speed.

and

In the last 5,000 to 10,000 years, as agriculture was able to support increasingly large societies, the rate of evolutionary change rose to more than 100 times historical levels, the study concluded.

In a few years we may adapt to performing well on a diet of 100% high-fructose corn syrup.

please recall that hate speech is actionable.

i shall be consulting with mr gilliatt in the near future to discuss what action he may wish to take.

Melissa is a wonderful photographer with an excellent eye for composition. I really dig her stuff. For those that want to see more of her Cuba photos, you should check out her website.

JP, that was classic. Truly classic. I know a good public defender out of Richmond. He has been called "fierce" by some, which is a quality I would look for in a lawyer.

Your photography collection brings back lots of good memories Melissa!  You are a super person and I appreciate the good vibes you bring to CFO.  Bricka Bracka Firecracker sis bom ba!  Melissa, Melissa, RAH RAH RAH!

Melissa-

Do not worry about JP, word on the street is he's completely powerless against everything but a knife, so feasbily, you could kick his ass with a spatula and he'd have no defense.

Your work is beautiful. You have a true eye for photography and although it comes naturally for you, that is not so for the majority. Value your work and don't sell yourself short, it's worth more than you think ;)

Hi Melissa, long time no see. I look forward to checking out your photos tomorrow morning. Congrats!

Speaker Pelosi spoke today on race baiting and the little known practice of "fat baiting".

Speaker Pelosi was moved to tears when noting how fat baiting in the East Bay is a destructive tactic and if it happens again, the fatso will be encouraged to sit on the perpetrator.

Cheers!

Your photos are stunning.  I second Tom's comment about your eye for composition, it's a gift!

Melissa, you have a wonderful talent....

Thanks, everyone! I look forward to seeing our other artists' work.

Maria suggested to me that I should make some cards of the Cuba shots. If anyone would be interested in those, let me know.
