I wanted to give you all a heads-up (courtesy of Steve D) on a fun workout that's coming up at CF Sweat Shop Saturday May 15th, beginning at 10am.

The workout is designed for a male/female team, with two divisions:  combined age of under 80 and combined age of 80 and older.

Both teammates run a 1.2-mile run, and then finish with the man carrying the woman 700 meters.  Each time the man has to put down the woman, the woman does 15 burpees and then they resume the run.  Once the 700-meter carry is done with, the workout is done.

The entry fee is $10 per person, with a cash prize going to the top placing team in each division.

Let's get some CFOers involved!

I'm down for it.

I need a woman.

Mune?

Audra?

Tamara?

Can we do some practice carrying?  I imagine technique is very important.  Gotta get it right.

That's so paleo. Sounds fun, though. I love me some burpees.

Sierra, you and Lance could own that workout.

In other news,  TomC stars in a video that's going viral (I'm pretty sure that big guy is him):

Nabil, were you inspired by the "who's your daddy" WOD when Lau asked you to carry MJ as part of your 5 minutes of pain?

Could I theoretically be the girl for D-sal? Would that be ok?

Brad I'm tipping the scales @ 180#. Doesn't help for running or being carried.

Jenkins, good to have you back! Thanks for all your grueling wods and support for Team CFO, you are the Best 3rd Assistant Mike could ever ask for!

... one petite, 38+ year old woman for CrossFit Sweatshop WOD. Must enjoy short runs, burpees and being carried. Serious inquiries only.

Sorry Sam, you are too young, male and heavy to be considered for this team.  My apologies.

Sounds like fun, although I think it's a bit sexist that you assume the man should carry the woman.

Still...any 41+ year-old women interested?

And is it the 15th (as stated in the text) or 22nd (in the image)?

Wanted: Female Jailbait. Must be fast on all ends and be able to cheer me on no matter how poor my performance. Will take two if combined age is less than 36, three if less than 54. No fat chicks.

Hold on a second are we still talking about the run?

MJ's in the Booooxxx! Good to have you back!

Christine would be the ideal person with whom to run this race. I think she has yet to hit triple digits with her weight. Tami, if I am around this weekend, it will be you and I on a team together. You can teach me the Firewoman's Carry. It will make for a good blog posting.

mature male looking for super fast young girl around 80 pounds.

Christine would be perfect! I've been trying to convince her to get her pint-sized self back to CFO... maybe this would be a good reintroduction.

christine has experience being piggybacked on run during the opd wod at the old box. christine start the bidding wars. your experience is needed.

sam r im sure you could convince steve d to carry you during the run. as long as you dont mind the moustache.

I will give Stacy Marple 1 dz Lance Bars and a fine chicken dinner if she leaves Steve D's camp and signs up to mine. What ya think???

Thanks for the workout today MJ.  As all great workouts are, that was truly awful and horrible.  And thanks to team CFO for encouraging and cheering me through all 6 attempts to complete a round, even though it didn't happen your support helped dull the pain of it all.

oh and who's that hella fly girl with the great hair on the poster for the event at crossfit sweatshop? :)
