In honor of the Olympics starting this week (Opening Ceremonies are in 2 days!), I am sharing this article from the SF Chronicle "Staying Fit while Aging an Olympic Feat", which discusses the struggle of former Olympic athletes to come to terms with their aging bodies.  I am sure some of us at least can relate - even if we never trained for the Olympics.
