As we wrote yesterday, Leka had a great first day of competition, finishing in 1st place with a 10-point lead at the end of Saturday (building a double-digit lead after the first day is impressive).
Today, she was like a runaway freight train, getting a head of steam going and never looking back. By the end of Sunday, Leka had extended her lead to 17 points over second place, capping a weekend of dominant–and extremely consistent–performances.
Here are her finishes in each of the workouts she did, in order: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 1st, 4th, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 1st.
By the time she got to the finals, where the top 5 women went head-to-head, because of the point spread she had over the 2nd-place competitor, she could’ve taken last on the workout and still won the competition. But she didn’t do that, she went out and won the final workout with authority.
The final workout had four different elements, each scored for points: A 5RM fat-bar deadlift, max 35# weighted pistols in 1 minute, max ring dips in 1 minute, and a farmers walk and 35# weighted lunge sprint. Again, she could’ve coasted and taken last and still won the competition, but like a true competitor, she gave it everything she had and won all four elements, which gave her a sweet 1st place finish on her final workout of the day…a great way to cap the weekend!
We’re so proud of you, Leka! All the hard work on your weaknesses is starting to pay dividends in a big way and it’s inspiring to see! Way to represent CFO!
