Go get ’em, Pollini!

Epic photo borrowed from the CF Games site

Please join me in wishing our CFO Masters champion, Steve Pollini, the very best at the CrossFit Games this weekend!  Steve will no doubt dominate his division.  He has been training hard and is ready to take on the elite field of athletes assembling at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.

Although we cannot all be there in person, we will for sure be glued to the live webcast and certainly there in spirit.

Check out the super-fun WODs waiting for Steve to conquer this weekend.  Good times, Mr. Pollini!!

Thanks everybody – I really appreciate all your support. It’s humbling and makes me want to kick ass all the more! This has already been an experience to remember. Last night at the reception, they showed a Reebok "feel good" video that highlighted how CrossFit isn’t just for elite athletes, it’s for everybody…very tastefully and well-done. Happened to be standing next to one of the Reebok guys who told me they’ll probably be using parts of it for advertising in the future. KStar’s influence was apparent with plenty of shots of the GG Bridge and CFers doing WODs by the beach.

For those who aren’t on Facebook (where I published a pic of all the incredible personalized gear they gave us), we had the fitting yesterday morning. They had 8 tailors on site for custom fitting if needed. Mine fit just fine but I seriously considered asking them to shorten one of my shirts 1/8th inch just see what it felt like to act like a prima donna 😉

If you’ve seen the individual WOD announcement, you know they’ll be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to be at the Home Depot Center at 5:15 am for their bus ride to the Santa Monica beach. Ocean swim and soft sand run are part of it. That’ll wake ’em up, fast! They’re letting us older folks sleep in.

My wife Lilly is flying down this afternoon and we’ll be catching up with Mike, Connie and Tom C for dinner tonight. We’ll keep you posted with some personalized updates as time (and energy) permit.

Thanks again for all your well-wishing. Will do my best to do you proud!
