Journey, as it is your twenty-first birthday, I should remind you that if you choose to drink, you should do so responsibly. If you need a dedicated driver, I know someone who can be of assistance. Now might be the right time to team up with Mike for the next Polka competition. He’s been looking for a second accordion player so that he could more fully explore the creative Polka Possibilities® afforded by such a situation.Think about it. I know he’s been mulling over the idea and I believe there are some very exciting rhythmic and melodic ideas he could incorporate if he had a backup. Lastly, I offer you the following advice that, if followed, will guarantee enormous wealth and prosperity – buy low, sell high. You can thank me later for that little gem.

    Happy Birthday, Viaje.

i’m sure it’s going to be a great birthday weekend.you deserve it.

i love working out when you’re around and i love the cowgirl.

i hope not to get sick, but if you were my nurse, it might be worth it.

There seems to be a sting of flattering birthday pictures that are going up lately. I am raising my voice in protest and demand that the conspicuous armpit pics be reinstated.

Also, happy birthday, Bon Journey! Your video just flipped to color and you are fully rockin’ at this moment.

You are such a genuine, hardworking, strong, ass-kicking woman!! Not to mention your ability to eat ice cream, pastries and donuts and still rock the wods AND outfits – workout or night out. Don’t listen to Tamara- we all know she’s just hatin’ because she wishes she could run half as fast and rock the lulu’s like you do! 🙂

Happy Birthday Journey! Please forgive Tami’s confusion on your apparent slowing down. She inadvertantly slips into bullet time when watching you do WODs and doesn’t even realize it.

And Michael G…saw today’s WOD in honor of your b’day. Couldn’t you have told Mike you were turning 39? You are one studly 65 year old! Nobody would ever guess.

Michael G, why on earth didn’t you tell Mike you were turning 50! For Pete’s sake! That WOD was killer!

I hope you make it to 95, just don’t tell Mike when you do! I hope you have a great birthday weekend.

I often refer to Barrister Gardner as:

     – old man (because he is)

     – funny socks (because he was the first to wear the knee-hi socks for deadlifts)

Simply put – no CFO athlete impresses me more then Michael.

I grew up in Detroit, Michigan.  At 65 years of age, it’s the end of the road.  It’s sitting on the porch, drinking beer, listening to the radio, bitching about nothing.  It’s not doing pull-ups, or 65 DL reps at 225#.  Or fricking muscle-ups!!!!!!

Michael and I joined CFO the same week, back in August 07.  I’ll never forget the first thing he said to me – I’ll paraphrase, something to the effect of – "…I’m not what I once was."

Well Old Man, you are now.  You’ve won my respect and admiration.

    Well done sir.
