K-Star on Knee Function

Here’s another YouTube video of K-Star discussing knee issues.  The key source of knee pain relates to squat mechanics.  Generally, if you find your knees traveling forward excessively, you’re probably going to have some knee pain.  The fix for knee pain is to fix your squat, keeping those shins vertical or close to vertical (the positioning will differ slightly for other squats like the front squat, but that’s another discussion).

Happy happy bday Sierra! You always have something nice and positive to say, I don’t know how you do it, but thanks for being so cheery for all of us.

I hope you have a great day!

    Great video. I have a new man-crush.

Happy Birthday Sierra. I’ll spare you from my typically metaphysical sentiments 😉

Sierra, as luck would have it, there’s a TV show named after your age. I haven’t actually seen it, but apparently people like it. It might be kinda violent, however. Also, in just one more year you will qualify for reduced auto insurance rates. Congratulations.

In your honor, I will do a special birthday workout today. It will involve low bar back squats, bench presses, and power cleans. Not for time. I will also listen to some Type O Negative for you. I know you are a big fan of them and their name is vaguely suggestive of things medical.

Lastly, it is always the right time to point out that Mini is quite an accomplished accordion player in addition to being a great coach, a gentleman, and a scholar. He’s too modest to mention it here, but Miguel recently took top honors in the Primarily Pennsylvania Polka contest held last weekend in Lucerne, PA. His rendition of the "Too Fat Polka" was described as "f*cking mind blowing" by Herman Gruber, the head judge at the event. Congratulations, Mini.

Miguelito is also an accomplished ballerino!

He started when he was six, which is when his two younger sisters started, and he decided, “what the heck, I’ll give it a try!” Only to discover that he was quite good at it and the point shoes didn’t pinch his toes, and the tutus were actually quite flattering on his chicken legs as well.

Just ask his mom to see pictures of him in his high school rendition of Swan Lake!

Hooray for the dancin’ bunny teeth!

Hope you have a great day – you’re a wonderful combination of tough, tenacious, sweet and youthful in one petite package!

I’m going to celebrate your birthday by taking my family to your mountains tomorrow.
