Just like last year, we’ll be holding an Olympic Weightlifting meet here at CFO this coming Sunday, October 20th. The meet will be an all-day affair, which means that there will be no group classes on Sunday (we’ll post a reminder later in the week). The meet is being put on by Team Aita Training, that group of strong folks you’ll see lifting at the back at the gym.
Olympic Weightlifting meets are a great way to see the lifts done in a competition setting. On top of that, Arnold and I have decided to throw our hats in the ring and compete in our first meet ever, as well. Arnold’s training has been going great; mine, not so much. But competition is competition, and we’ll both be ready to go! We’ll be lifting at 2pm.
There’s a $5 charge for spectators–it would be great if we could see some crowd support there! And you’re sure to see some really impressive lifts along the way.
