Big reminder: Lance is leading a kettlebell clinic this weekend for a great cause. Even if you can’t make it to the clinic (which I highly recommend), you can still donate to the cause.
Read more on the clinic below. The clinic gets started at 11:30am on Sunday 12/15, and will be taking place at our Emeryville location. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Alameda County Food Bank.
GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY, RUSSIAN KETTLEBELL STYLE
Kettlebell workouts are intended to increase strength, endurance, agility and balance. They challenge both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic, total-body movements, all while keeping the body in complete alignment. Typically, kettlebells are used to perform fluid ballistic exercises using your body’s full range of motion; this can include swings, snatches, cleans and jerks. They are also useful for non-ballistic movements/grinds, such as the Turkish get-up, windmills, shoulder press and deadlift. In addition to building incredible muscular strength and endurance, excess fat melts away when paired with a nutritious diet.
During our three-hour Kettlebell seminar expect to learn the following:
*Kettlebell safety and proper footwear
*Biomechanical breathing match
*Two-hand and one-hand swing, Russian and American
We’ll follow with a short workout to close out the seminar.
The cost is $35 per person; – class will be held at our Emeryville location on Sunday, December 15 at 11:30.
All Proceeds will benefit Alameda County Community Food Bank.
If you’d like to go to the clinic, RSVP via email. If you can’t make the clinic, but would like to donate to the cause, you can leave your checks at either location. We’ll collect them and add them to the proceeds from the clinic. Please make checks payable to the Alameda County Food Bank.
