Sundays in August: CF in the Park hosted by Lululemon!

CFO’ers having a blast during a visit to Lululemon Berkeley

CrossFit Oakland’s partnership with Lululemon Berkeley continues to grow as the rockstars at Lulu host the CFO training staff in Willard Park, Berkeley all four Sundays in August for "CrossFit in the Park".  CFO coaches will be running participants through a Community Day workout from 8:15am – 9:15am on Sunday August 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th.  All fitness levels welcome!

Come on out and support this fun event – bring friends, family and co-workers!  Don’t forget to stay for Yoga immediately following the workout at 9:30am.  What a fabulous way to spend a lovely summer morning!

I ordered 2 different sizes of the new Reebok Crossfit Nano 2.0 shoes and before I return the size 7s, I wanted to see if anyone in the CFO community would like a chance to buy them as the women’s green w/ purple accents (what most female competitors wore at the Games) are sold out in size 7 on both the Crossfit and the Reebok websites. If interested, post to comments or shoot me an email at   Shoe runs true to size in length but has a wide toe box. $110

PS – First impressions of the shoe: Granted I haven’t worked out in them yet, but they feel great on my feet. Lightweight and flexible, but stable (especially laterally, which I feel many minimalist shoes aren’t); wide toe box; light cushioning, nice, close fit around the foot and ankle; what looks to be a pretty durable and grippy sole. My previous go-to shoe was the original Minimus WX20 (wide width), but the sole got shredded during rope climbs. The new Minimus WX20 v2.0 is not nearly as comfortable – stiffer sole, less tight fit around the ankle, slightly narrower toe box even in the wide width, so I jumped on the Reebok bandwagon and ordered the Nanos. In the past I’ve also tried Nike Frees, Inov-8s, Sambas, Chucks, and the Minimus WX20. Yes, I’m a bit of a shoe freak. :)
