Whole Life Challenge Starting Jan 11th!

Every year we do a couple of Paleo-style challenges.  We’ve decided to change things up this year and do the Whole Life Challenge (WLC).  This type of challenge is about so much more than what you’re eating.  And it’s great because there are different levels of commitment.

I’ll be personally participating in the challenge; I hope that many of you will join me.  Connie is taking the lead on the WLC, and has written the following regarding the challenge.

What would the new year be without a resolution to start a new diet? Join us as we embark on an 8 week fitness-and-lifestyle challenge that’s so much more than just another paleo challenge. The Whole Life Challenge is an online forum where you and other participants will track your progress and earn points, not just for eating healthy but also for mobilizing after a WOD, taking fish oil, and exercise! Think it’s too much? What I love about this challenge is that YOU decide the level of intensity. There are three levels to chose from which makes it adaptable to your life. It really challenges you to think about being healthy holistically and to not neglect any aspects of your health and fitness. The Whole Life Challenge begins in just 6 days (Jan 11th), so there’s no time to lose! 

To register as a player, simply click here and join the official CrossFit Oakland team. The cost to participate is $49. Anyone can join, so spread the word!  January 14th is the cut-off date for registering.

Once you register and join the team, the website will walk you through the steps of creating your personal profile.

We will be a holding a pre-challenge workout NEXT Sunday Jan 12th at 11:30am, which we’ll repeat after we complete the challenge. This is not required but it’s a great way test your fitness before and after the 8-week challenge. We’ll also have some time after the workout to go over rules or answer any questions you might have.

    Are we going to do the tape measuring at the gym or do it on our own?

      We can bring a measuring tape on Sunday during the 11:30am for anyone who wants to use it. That step is optional, though, just to be clear.
